Ellen Frankman
Hello! I’m Ellen. I’m a Pulitzer Prize and Peabody Award-winning journalist and audio producer and editor.
I’m currently the Supervising Producer on Stolen, an investigative podcast from Gimlet Media and Spotify.
Prior to joining Gimlet, I was the Executive Producer for Politics Podcasts at NBC News and MSNBC. I helped build the network’s first audio unit, managed teams and launched and ran two award-winning podcasts, Article II: Inside Impeachment and Into America.
I started in radio at WNYC, first at The Leonard Lopate Show and then at The Takeaway. I spent close to seven years at The Takeaway, where I worked on daily news segments, line produced the live show, reported limited-run series and oversaw live events. I left as Executive Producer.
One of my first gigs in journalism was as a print reporter at The Sag Harbor Express.
I have a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, where I double majored in Journalism and English.
